CT Scan in Delhi NCR — 128-Slice MDCT Technology
Adhiraj Imaging offers 128-slice Multi-Detector CT (MDCT) scanning — one of the most advanced CT technologies available. Our 128-slice scanner captures multiple thin cross-sectional images simultaneously, producing high-resolution 3D reconstructions in a matter of seconds. This speed is invaluable for emergency situations, cardiac imaging and paediatric scans where movement can compromise image quality.
Our CT facility uses automatic dose modulation (ATCM) to minimise radiation while maintaining diagnostic image quality — a key advantage over older, single-slice machines. All CT scans are supervised by experienced radiologists and reports are delivered within 2–4 hours.
Contrast CT Note: For CT with IV contrast, 4 hours of fasting is required. Kidney function test (serum creatinine) is needed before contrast injection. Diabetic patients on Metformin must stop it 48 hours before and after contrast CT.

Is CT scan safe? How much radiation does it give?
CT scan uses X-rays, but our 128-slice scanner with dose modulation keeps radiation as low as clinically possible. The dose is typically 2–10 mSv depending on body part — well within safe diagnostic limits.
How long does a CT scan take?
The actual scanning part takes just seconds to 2–3 minutes. Total time at the centre including preparation is typically 30–45 minutes. For CT angiography, allow 60–90 minutes.
Do I need to fast before CT scan?
For non-contrast CT, fasting is usually not required. For CT with IV contrast, 4 hours fasting is required. For CT colonoscopy, bowel preparation is needed. Confirm at time of booking.
Can I get CT scan reports same day?
Yes, most CT scan reports are ready within 2–4 hours. For urgent cases, we can deliver reports in 1–2 hours. Reports are sent via WhatsApp and email, and physical copy is available.
